As you may know, The World Health Organization has announced that starting today, May 11th, 2023, the Covid-19 pandemic will no longer be ruled a public health emergency. Hospitals, medical facilities, and care centers are due to lift their mask requirements on May 12th for both inpatient and outpatient facilities.
In accordance with these guidelines, starting May 12, masking will be optional for both patients and staff at Dedham Acupuncture. At this time we will no longer require Covid-19 screenings for entry.
Though the mandate has been lifted, we kindly ask that if you test positive for covid or the flu, please wait 5 days after the first symptoms appear before coming into Dedham Acupuncture for care. If you have a family member that is ill, you may come in as long as you do not exhibit symptoms, but we kindly ask that they wear a mask. If you are exhibiting symptoms and do not have a diagnosis, we ask that you please wait 5 days before coming into the office.
Lastly, any patients or staff members who have a cough will be required to wear a mask in our office.
These will be our standard policies moving forward.
Please know that we at Dedham Acupuncture made this decision thoughtfully and conscientiously based on CDC, MA State, and WHO guidelines. Should the Covid numbers greatly increase, or guidelines change, I will revisit this policy at that time.
