If you have been following our blogs, you know that we have been spending a lot of time talking about stepping into your best and highest self. In order to do that, we have to examine our lifestyles and ask the question, “what are you tolerating in life”?
We all have goals, and while they are achievable, you likely have a lot of personal things holding you back. One of the biggest roadblocks to our dreams is underlying health issues. We can’t start achieving everything we want in life, our family, our career, etc. if we don’t address health issues that we have been tolerating. Health concerns can come in so many forms, and so many levels. Chronic issues like back pain, insomnia, crippling PMS, hormone imbalance, and mental health issues can each affect our ability to show up as our best selves each day.
For those of us that suffer from seasonal allergies, we know that for the next 6 months, we won’t be at 100%. Being somewhat out of commission for half the year is really quite awful. Daily symptoms can really hold us back from finally achieving our New Year’s Resolutions and stepping into our best selves every single day.
Do you usually just let your allergy symptoms take over for the season, instead of addressing them? Did you know that if you start acupuncture right now and modify your diet – you could be feeling just fine come April? It’s true, known allergens like gluten and dairy can worsen our seasonal allergy symptoms. Excluding them from your diet can drastically improve how you feel and function over the next few months.
I am not saying that you will never feel the onslaught of pollen BUT what if you didn’t feel sick every day? Or feel tired, sneezy, headachy, and run down? What if these small dietary changes can make a really positive impact on your daily life, leaving you with energy and motivation to work toward your goals?
It all starts with you deciding to devote time and energy to taking control of your allergies. Remember, small changes open big doors! Start by having acupuncture just once a week for six weeks, and try eliminating dairy and gluten from just one or two meals a day. Over time, you can work towards complete elimination and keep a regular self-care routine that will help kick those seasonal allergies. We’ve included a free meal guide to help you on your journey.
If seasonal allergies are something that you have been tolerating for years, I hope 2023 brings a different outcome.
