Adding more greens into the diet can be tricky, but making a smoothie in the morning can give you a boost of vitamins and micronutrients that can help us to feel better instantly.
Green Drink Recipe:
* banana, peeled
* apple, I like granny smith, cored
* flax oil, about a tsp
* 2 handfuls of leafy greens (I like spinach but feel free to use
kale, arugula, etc)
* juice of one lemon, if you have a high powered blender, don’t bother
taking out seeds, they will be pulverized
* 2 slices of crystallized ginger or one inch of fresh ginger, peeled
* 4-5 ice cubes
* approx 2 cup water
Put above into blender and blend on high for 60 seconds. This recipe
will make approx 24-28 oz. I drink a glass of this and then put the
rest into my blender bottle and drink throughout the rest of the
morning. It tastes like green lemonade!
